Remember the old game Stratego? Well the boy got one for Christmas. The kids have had many a game thus far... The instructions make a point of saying "This is NOT a war game"...try telling that to the boy!
I am a housewife, mother and homeschool teacher.
My kids and I have decided to blog about our adventures on the food frontier. Testing and tasting foods from other countries and ethnic groups.
We may not always enjoy the new foods we try – but hopefully it will encourage the kids (and me!) to expand our taste buds now, and in the future.

How on earth can it NOT be a war game? I'm pretty sure there aren't bombs and generals in Candyland...
I do love Stratego though, it really makes you think and plan ahead!
Stratego is a great BATTLE game (there, I didn't say war). I always enjoyed Stratego because it has some similarities to chess, my favorite game.
When I play chess, it is war!
Imagine a six and a nine year old playing such a hard game! That takes brains! Obviously they have it!
A war game is a war game. My beatnik parents wouldn't let me touch Battleship for crying out loud!
