In Flew Enza

With all this talk about the "Swine" flu - I'm reminded of a supposed song children used to sing while jumping rope during the early 1900's pandemic...

"I had a little bird, its name was Enza - I opened the window and in flew Enza (influenza)."

If I remember the family story correctly, my husband's grandmother continued going to school during the 1900's pandemic even when all the other students stayed at home. She remained healthy. She later became a school teacher.
