Each day we've been taking a walk around town for an hour or more. Today we walked along the railway tracks...reminicent of my childhood doings.The kids thought it was quite an adventure to walk on the tracks...maybe the element of danger played into their excitement.
Along the way the kids picked up some "treasures". The boy especially likes little pieces of metal and said maybe he'd start a metal collection when he gets older.
The flat speckled pieces are either shedded snakeskin (which of course the kids are hoping for)...or some sort of plastic :)

I always enjoyed looking for "treasures". It's good for kids to explore (with supervision if young). Much better than watching TV or playing video games!
